Out with the old, in with the new

With so many changes occurring in my life in the next couple months (graduating, moving, applying for big girl jobs, etc.) I thought to myself, "why not make another change that you've been wanting to do for quite sometime now?" I've been putting it off, waiting to do all things "adult" in order to prolong my college kid lifestyle...

But it's definitely time for a new car!

Anyone who knows me, understands the frustration I've had with my go-cart of a Kia Rio over the years. Don't get me wrong, she's treated me great and has always gotten me from Point A to Point B, but it's time for her to retire.

Now I'm faced with one of the toughest decisions out there. What kind of car should I get!?

I've always wanted something bigger with all wheel drive but at the same time, knowing I'll be living in the city in the near future a vehicle with decent gas mileage is absolutely a priority. Price obviously plays a factor too.

After a few months of looking around and doing research I've finally narrowed it down to three cars:

Kia Optima

Subaru Crosstrek

Ford Escape

Being the indecisive person I am, narrowing it down to just three cars was extremely difficult and I'm not sure how I'm going to choose only one. I love the sleekness of the Optima, the durability of the Crosstrek, and the size and functionality of the Escape. They're all so different from one another which makes this decision even more difficult. Just when I think I've decided that the Escape is the one, a Crosstrek or an Optima drives by and I'm right back to where I started.

I've also never bought a car before, so overall I'm entering an unknown territory and it's pretty scary.

Ultimately I've decided I'm going to wait at least until after graduation to give myself the time to research and test drive my top three options.

Does any one have any tips as I begin my car hunt!? Help a girl out.
