ˌmēɡrəˈnər,ˌmīɡrā-/
noun
plural noun: migraineurs
someone who suffers from chronic migraine headaches.

Migraines are awful, there's no other way to put it. They completely suck the life out of you and make you the worst, most unproductive version of yourself. I would never wish a migraine upon my worst enemy. If you've never had one, consider yourself lucky...but if you're like me and have the pleasure of dealing with frequent migraines, you'll understand all of these struggles that come along with them:
1. It takes every fiber of your being to not fling yourself across the room and attack the person who just called your migraine a headache.

2. Anyone wearing cologne or perfume within ten feet should probably stay away from you for their own protection.

3. You ask your mom/dad/roommate/boyfriend to please use a soft voice when speaking, but even their whispers feel like a hammer straight to the temple. Let's be real, even the sound of your own breathing sounds like a concert inside of your head.

4. Forming words when you have a migraine deserves a gold metal. Majority of the time you sound like a toddler trying to speak for the first time.

5. "You don't look sick" people tell you as you are suffering to get
through your day without missing anything or falling behind. You better shut up before I make you feel sick, you think to yourself.

6. Tylenol, Aspirin, Excedrin, etc. doesn't help one bit. Anyone who tells you it does has clearly never had a migraine before. You would know, you've tried everything.

7. Your best form of medicine is sleeping it off in a pitch black room with absolutely no sound. But even that doesn't always do the trick.

8. Waking up with the same migraine you went to sleep with and thinking:

9. If you try to eat anything, you'll find yourself hugging the toilet 5 minutes later.

10. It's not just your head that is affected. All of a sudden you have neck, back and stomach pains to accompany the feeling of your head exploding.
